Open Your Eyes
Open Your Eyes
In darkness of
night my eyes closed,
Weary, tired,
trembling and lost,
Afraid of facing
another day,
Of what it might
cost.
Filled with
hopelessness I cried out,
Against shadows
of doubts everywhere,
As troubles
danced around my bed,
And I tossed and
turned in despair.
But, then I
heard a calm, sweet voice,
Whispering
through the lonely night,
Open your eyes,
my precious child,
And step into My
peaceful light!
Don’t be afraid
of the darkness,
For it, too,
belongs to Me,
Just open your eyes,
my child,
And My eternal
light you will see.
